Since childhood, I have been passionate about designing, knitting, and weaving. I was always inspired to create something new. This passion drove me to explore various techniques and develop unique designs that blend creativity with craftsmanship. As a designer, I immensely enjoy transforming ideas into tangible and beautiful pieces. Always eager to learn and push the boundaries of my craft, I strive to make my journey as a designer ever more meaningful.
Creative experiences
I place a particular emphasis on hand weaving and embroidery, which add a distinctive and special touch to my creations. These intricate techniques allow me to craft pieces that stand out and resonate with customers, helping my designs gain recognition and attract a loyal clientele.
My deep interest in fashion and textiles has been the guiding force behind my journey, inspiring me to continuously explore new ways to blend traditional craftsmanship with contemporary style. The passion and dedication have not only shaped my unique design approach but also contributed to the growing success and popularity of my work in the market.
Fashion vision BFW 2025
As a designer, my creations are deeply inspired by the rich spiritual and cultural heritage of our country, Bhutan. Each pattern is meticulously hand-woven, reflecting the intricate artistry and symbolism rooted in our Buddhist traditions.
I aim to blend these traditional motifs with modern design elements, creating a harmonious fusion that I refer to as “three in one”. It showcases the timeless beauty of our cultural patterns in a contemporary context. Through this innovative approach, I aspire to elevate Bhutanese fashion, fostering recognition and appreciation both within our country and beyond. My goal is to highlight the unique artistry of Bhutan, celebrating our cultural identity while paving the way for our fashion industry to gain prominence on the national and international stages.
What More?
Previously my brand was known as Twinning Attire. It had been around since 2020. In 2024, I as the co-founder/ designer and colleague Tshering Zangmo as the founder collaborated to rebrand ourselves as Druk Lopkpa to reflect a renewed vision and deeper cultural essence of our designs.
