I’m a fashion designer who loves using fabric to tell stories. I studied fashion design at the Fashion Institute of Technology, and I am most inspired by how clothes reflect who we are and where we come from.
Some of my biggest influences are Kencho Couture, CDK and SonyCTenzin, whose works beautifully blend tradition with modern style. Growing up in Bhutan, I was surrounded by beautiful colors, patterns, and handmade crafts. That cultural richness has shaped the way I design today-mixing tradition with my own creative twist.
Creative experiences
My journey in the fashion industry has been exciting and full of learning. I have met inspiring people, from whom I derive confidence to learn and create new designs. My signature style is a mix of modern and traditional. I like to create, simple designs with special details that tell stories. What makes my work different is the way I connect culture and creativity in each piece, while paying attention to every small detail. I stay inspired by everyday life, nature, and my roots. I also enjoy exploring new ideas and learning from other artists.
Fashion vision BFW 2025
The collection I’m presenting at BFW 2025 is inspired by the Highlanders of Bhutan. It’s a tribute to their strength, resilience, and deep connection to nature. Through this collection, I want to share their story and highlight the beauty of their traditional lifestyle, blended with a modern twist.
With this work, I hope to remind people of the importance of preserving our roots while moving forward. It’s also a way to celebrate Bhutanese identity in a fresh and creative way.
From BFW 2025, I hope to connect with more people, gain exposure, and learn from other talented designers. It’s a great platform to grow and share what makes Bhutanese fashion special.
I believe the future of fashion in Bhutan is bright. More young designers are stepping up with bold ideas, and there’s a growing interest in combining tradition with innovation. I see Bhutan becoming a strong voice in sustainable and meaningful fashion.
What More?
I want people to know that my work is inspired by my culture and nature. I put my heart into every design, and I hope it makes others feel proud of who they are and where they come from.
