KKKCreations
My sister Kinley Dema, and I, Thinley Wangmo, founded KKKCreations, born out of years of inspiration from our father, Kado, who significantly influenced our creative paths.
While Kinley resides in Australia, I manage our boutique in Paro town. Together, we draw on our diverse experiences to cultivate our shared passion for design. I hold a Bachelor of Business Management degree from Bangalore University, and Kinley recently earned her Master’s in Education from the University of Canberra.
Our journey at KKKCreations traces back to our parents, Kado and Sangay Lhamo, who moved from Zhemgang to Paro town in the 1980s. Our father, an esteemed dressmaker, devoted his life to the craft, generously sharing his expertise with countless aspiring tailors and dressmakers at no cost. His business continues to thrive today, a living testament to his legacy. His gift for transforming even the simplest fabrics into unique, exquisite pieces inspire us the most. This artistry instilled in us a deep reverence for textiles, patterns, and craftsmanship, values that now guide our journey at KKKCreations.
Creative Experiences
Mr. Kado remains our most significant source of inspiration. His unwavering commitment to quality has taught us the importance of paying attention to detail, patience, and the inherent beauty found in hard work and creativity.
Moreover, Bhutanese cultural values, alongside the nation’s rich textiles, symbolic patterns, and harmonious natural colors, have significantly influenced our design approach. We also draw inspiration from global designers whose innovative perspectives challenge us to refine our craft and broaden our horizons.
For us, KKKCreations represents more than just a business; it is a tribute to our father’s lasting legacy and the principles he instilled in us-creativity, dedication, and the empowerment of others. Through this brand, we aspire to honor his journey while advancing Bhutanese heritage in a contemporary context.
We describe our journey in fashion as both inspiring and rewarding. Although we are new to the industry, every step has provided us with valuable learning experiences. Through KKKCreations, we aspire to fuse modern minimalism with traditional Bhutanese elements.
Each piece we create carries a personal touch-authentic, timeless, and connected to our culture—while reflecting our commitment to customization. Inspired by Bhutanese textiles, heritage, and nature, we also embrace global trends to ensure our designs remain fresh and forward-looking. We are excited to showcase some of our collections at Bhutan Fashion Week 2025, a milestone that signifies our growth and passion.
Fashion Vision BFW 2025
Our collection theme for the show “Ethereal Harmony”, draws inspiration from the serene spirit of Bhutan. Each piece harmoniously blends modern design with traditional Bhutanese motifs, embodying a delicate balance between heritage and contemporary aesthetics. The soft, neutral tones evoking tranquillity are crafted to reflect the essence of Bhutanese grace and calm.
Through “Ethereal Harmony,” we aim to create a symbiotic relationship between tradition and modernity, the physical and the spiritual. This collection is not just about fashion; it translates emotions into form, where fabric becomes fluidity and color radiates energy. It serves as a reminder of how nature and cultural heritage shape our identity, allowing Bhutanese fashion to carry universal emotions through a contemporary lens.
We envision BFW 2025 as more than just a showcase; it is a platform for dialogue, creativity, and collaboration, highlighting the innovative yet culturally rooted spirit of Bhutanese fashion. Looking forward, we believe that sustainability, originality, and global recognition will guide the future of Bhutanese fashion, with our rich heritage as its strongest foundation.
